Pakistan to block unvaccinated citizen's SIM cards

Punjab’s provincial government seeks to increase participation in its COVID-19 vaccine program by disabling SIM cards of those declining to submit to being injected with the experimental biological agent. The decision was made during a meeting of high-ranking civil and military officials chaired by Punjab Health Minister Yasmin Rashid, reported RT.Rashid told Pakistan’s Express Tribune: “We are doing all we can to compel people to get vaccinated… The government cannot allow individuals, who do not want to get vaccinated, to risk lives of those who are already vaccinated.” She said the provincial government would devise a timeline for implementing the policy once it receives official approval.Punjab’s Primary and Secondary Health Department announced the measure on Thursday in a tweet detailing the outcome of the meeting.“Mobile SIMS of people not getting vaccinated may be blocked,” the department wrote.[embed]https://twitter.com/PSHDept/status/1403093859941376001?s=20[/embed]
