Trump faces arrest following Biden-China corruption allegations

The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Thursday published a memo detailing new evidence surrounding the Biden family’s ties to China.

According to subpoenaed financial records, the Biden family was paid over a million dollars from a Chinese firm affiliated with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) less than two months after then-Vice President Joe Biden left office.

In 2017, Shanghai-based State Energy HK Limited wired $3 million to a company belonging to Rob Walker, a Biden family associate. Robinson Walker, LLC, which only held a balance of $159,000 at the time of the transfer, then wired $1,065,000 to the European Energy and Infrastructure Group (EEIG) in Abu Dhabi, a company affiliated with Hunter Biden associate James Gilliar.

Within a week, Hunter Biden, Hallie Biden, James Biden and an unidentified “Biden” began receiving incremental payments over a three-month period, totaling around $1,065,000 — the amount wired from State Energy HK Limited.

State Energy HK is affiliated with Chinese Communist Party–owned energy company CEFC China Energy which paid Hunter and James Biden about $4.8 million between 2017 and 2018.

“Democrats described our subpoena as providing nothing more than records for Papa John’s and Starbucks, but they failed to mention the records we’ve received documenting the Biden family’s business schemes,” said the House committee’s Chairman James Comer (R-KY) in a statement Thursday.

“The Oversight Committee is concerned about the national security implications resulting from President Biden’s family receiving millions of dollars from foreign nationals. We will continue to follow the money trail and facts to determine if President Biden is compromised by his family’s business schemes and if there is a national security threat,” Comer added.

Two days later, President Donald Trump announced that he will be arrested on Tuesday, after seven long years of his political opponents in the Democratic Party trying to indict him.

The indictment, which will come from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office, is expected to charge Trump with violating campaign finance laws when his lawyer allegedly paid $130,000 to adult film actress Stormy Daniels at the end of his 2016 campaign. Prosecutors allege the payment was hush money to keep Daniels quiet about an affair which Trump says never happened.

This is not Daniels’ first run at Trump. Last year, Trump won a defamation lawsuit against Daniels, who was ordered to pay the president $300,000 in legal fees. She vowed never to “pay him a penny”.

The road has been a long one for Trump’s political opponents. When running for office in 2018, New York Attorney General Letitia James campaigned on the promise that she would find a way to indict Trump, whom she referred to as “an illegitimate president”. James vowed to investigate Trump’s business dealings, his family, and a phone call he made while in office. Four year later, James came up empty-handed of indictments.

Two days after Republicans published the memo about the Biden family, however, it was announced that the Manhattan district attorney plans to indict Trump over an old scandal.

Trump has called for protests if he is arrested Tuesday.

”THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!” he wrote.

“THEY’RE KILLING OUR NATION AS WE SIT BACK & WATCH. WE MUST SAVE AMERICA!PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST!!!” he added.
