This week in #DiedSuddenly (Vol. 12)

Reports of healthy, young people dying unexpectedly continue to pour in daily, a phenomenon the media and their doctors are dismissing as Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS).    

Out of the many cases sent to Frontline News this week, we have chosen a small handful to include in this report to help shine a spotlight on these ‘unexplained’ deaths.

Hayden-Jay Archbold, 6

"Hayden-Jay Archbold, who lived in Fratton with his parents Lauren Emery and Glen Archbold and older brother Logan-Jay and attended Cliffdale Primary Academy, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, September 1.

"His devestated family have been left with no answers following the unexplained tragedy, and are awaiting a coroner’s report. Lauren has urged to take their childen to see a doctor for even 'the smallest thing' in light of her son’s passing, and without fear of wasting NHS time." — TheNews.co.uk

Aubreigh Paige Wyatt, 13

“The Ocean Springs [Miss.] School District is mourning the loss of one of its students. The district said Ocean Springs Middle School eighth-grader Aubreigh Paige Wyatt died on Monday, September 4.

“A small memorial for the 13-year-old has begun to grow in front of the school.

“The school district said Wyatt’s mother is an Ocean Springs School District teacher. The Singing River Health System has dispatched counselors to the school.

“The school district said in a statement, “Counselors are available to assist any student or staff member in coping with this challenging time.”

“The Ocean Springs Police Department says Wyatt’s death is still under investigation.” — Biloxi Gulfport WLOX

Samara Whitney, 16

"A RISING football star has died suddenly at the age of 16.

"Samara Whitney played for Australia's Wynyard Football Club in Tasmania.

"Samara, who was part of the AFL's Tasmania Devils program, died on Tuesday. Her cause of death has not been revealed." — The Sun

Santiago 'Daveeys' Ruiz, 23

"Professional VALORANT player Santiago 'Daveeys' Ruiz died on Sept. 3, his former team KRÜ Esports announced on Sept. 4.

"Ruiz died on Sunday, one day after his 23rd birthday. The Colombian pro had been playing for KRÜ since October 2022 and attended VALORANT Champions in August, after helping KRÜ secure a spot through the VCT Americas Last Chance Qualifier in July.

Aditya 'Dicky' Singh, 55

"Aditya 'Dicky' Singh, prominent wildlife conservator and photographer, passed away at the age of 55 on Wednesday, September 6. The news of Singh's sudden death has left the Internet and India's wildlife community in shock.

"Conservation biologist and photographer Neha Sinha broke the news of Singh's death on X (formerly Twitter)." — DailyO

Dean Merton, 35

"A well-known and popular Dublin wrestler who died suddenly aged 35 has been remembered by WWE star Becky Lynch as a 'special pal'.

"Tributes have been paid to the Dean Merton, known professionally as ‘Alexander Dean’ and ‘Sean South’, who was also a Bohemian FC volunteer following his death on Monday." — Sunday World

Coryell Derrick, 45

"An investigation is underway after a 45-year-old man was found dead in his cell at the Madison County [Al.] Jail.

"Coryell Derrick suffered a 'sudden medical emergency' which proved fatal around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. Medical personnel responded to the jail but were unable to revive Derrick. There are no indications of foul play or suspicious circumstances." — AL

Mickey Carroll, 34

"The tightly-knit communities of Ballyconnell, Tullow and Coolkenno [Ireland] have been plunged into deep sadness with the news that beloved father of three Mickey Carroll (34) has passed away after suffering an aneurysm last week." — Independent.ie

Thalerngsak Nuchpraphan, 51

"PHUKET [Thailand]: Thalerngsak Nuchpraphan, a Vice Governor of Phang Nga Province, was found dead of suspected heart attack in a Patong hotel room yesterday (Sept 3). He was 51 years old." — The Phuket News

N Valarmathi, 64

"N Valarmathi, an Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scientist and the voice behind the space agency's rocket launch countdowns, died due to cardiac arrest on Saturday in Chennai, reported WION. She was 64." — NewsBytes
