This week in #DiedSuddenly (Part 4)
Reports of healthy, young people dying unexpectedly continue to pour in daily, a phenomenon the media and their doctors are dismissing as Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS).
Out of the many cases sent to America’s Frontline News this week, we have chosen a small handful to include in this report to help shine a spotlight on these ‘unexplained’ deaths.
Jonathan (Jonny) Bell
"In shock after reading the news that my dear friend Jonathan Bell passed away unexpectedly yesterday. I had been looking forward to braving the rail strike to go from Peterborough to Loughborough for his 30th birthday party and seeing his new(ish) flat. He was an important part of my life for more than 12 years. My heart goes out to his family." - Died Suddenly
Grant Wahl
“American sports journalist Grant Wahl died suddenly while covering the quarterfinal match between Argentina and the Netherlands. Wahl reportedly died of a heart attack in the press box at Lusail Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
“As with many people, Wahl’s heightened fear of COVID came along with being vaccinated against COVID.
“‘If you’re unvaccinated at this point, you’re asking to be hospitalized or worse,” he posted on Twitter in December 2021.’” - Frontline News
Josh Kennington
"We are saddened to hear of the death of 18-year-old Josh Kennington of the Royal Logistics Corps.
"Josh sadly passed away on the 24th of November after suddenly collapsing on the 18th. His colleagues in the Medical Corps were able to restart his heart and he was then rushed to hospital in Darlington where he was treated in the ICU. Sadly, medical staff were unable to bring Josh out of his coma and Josh passed away peacefully that Morning. The young driver was previously a fit and healthy teenager.

Walter Bénéteau
“The former professional cyclist Walter Bénéteau has died at the age of 50, with the former French professional rider who rode seven editions of the Tour de France reportedly having been found dead in Bali.
“French newspaper L'Équipe reported that the former professional rider – who retired 18 years ago but since had still been involved in the sport through his work in public relations was found dead in Bali, Indonesia in circumstances not yet been specified by the local authorities.” - Cycling News
Jake Hescock
“Pittsfield native Jake Hescock passed away Sunday, according to Facebook posts by family and friends.
“Hescock, who graduated from Salisbury School in Connecticut before playing college football at the University of Wisconsin and University of Central Florida, was out for a jog Tuesday in Boston when he suffered cardiac arrest.
“According to posts, another civilian found him and was able to get him resuscitated and he was taken to the hospital where he was put in the intensive care unit.
“In an update to a post on the Facebook page Jake Hescock #88 UCF Football Fans, Lisa Walz Mlynarczyk wrote “It is with a heavy heart that I have to say my cousin Jake has passed on...” - Berkshire Eagle
Chad Atkins
"Chad Atkins, the cofounder of Paw Works -- one of L.A.'s leading animal rescue organizations -- has died.
"The organization announced the shocking news Sunday about its leader, calling him ‘a truly incredible person who devoted his entire existence to saving animals.’
"Paw Works says Chad ‘passed unexpectedly from heart failure’ while at home.
"Chad is survived by his son, Sebastian, and his husband, Bryan Diaz. He was 44." - TMZ
Mikéah Ernest Jennings
"Writer, performer, and educator Mikéah Ernest Jennings (43) died last Tuesday, November 22.
"Jennings grew up in California's Mojave Desert and participated in high school theater. He graduated from the University of California San Diego and moved to New York in 2001 to pursue a career on the stage." - Theatre Mania
Mike Leach
“Gruff, pioneering and unfiltered, Mike Leach was one of the most influential football coaches of this or any generation.
“Leach, who was in his third year at Mississippi State after helping revolutionize the game of football from high school to the NFL with the Air Raid offense, died Monday night following complications from a heart condition, the school said Tuesday. He was 61.
“Leach fell ill Sunday at his home in Starkville, Mississippi, near the university. He was treated at a local hospital before being airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, about 120 miles (200 kilometers) away.
“Mississippi State was among the schools requiring vaccines for faculty and staff.” - WLBT
