Sixth young Canadian doctor in 2 weeks 'dies suddenly'
A 27-year-old Canadian physician died unexpectedly Thursday with no reported cause of death, the sixth young Canadian doctor to die suddenly in two weeks. Four of the six died within one week, and three were from the same hospital.
Dr. Candace Nayman was a resident doctor at McMaster Children’s Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. She collapsed suddenly during a triathlon on July 24th and died July 28th.
Nayman was a fan of the COVID-19 injections, enough to promote their use on children.
“Vaccines for kids AND a new @Adele album in one day?? Today is truly a day to celebrate!” she tweeted on November 19, 2021, the day Health Canada approved the mRNA COVID-19 shots for children 5-11 years old.
In May, Nayman said she felt “utter excitement” when the injections were approved for children 12-15 years old. The children were then forced to get injected; those who didn’t remained barred from public transportation, restaurants and other public areas.
Five days prior to Nayman’s death, 44-year-old family physician Dr. Shariar Jalali Mazlouman was found dead by a swimming pool, with no reported cause of death.
“RCMP were called to the D.A. Mackenzie Aquatic Center around 1:30 p.m. and found the man unresponsive in the pool, reported CTV News on July 25th. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS,” CTV News reported.
“The RCMP said his family has been notified. The cause of death is still under investigation by the Saskatchewan Coroners Service,” the outlet added. There has since been no update regarding the cause of death.
The hashtag #DiedSuddenly started trending on Twitter Thursday, likely sparked by two Canadian hospitals who were forced to defend the COVID-19 shot after three of their physicians died last week, following another who died earlier mid-July.
“It is with deep sadness that Trillium Health Partners mourns the loss of three of our physicians who recently passed away,” the Trillium Health Partners hospital network told the Toronto Sun on Wednesday. “Dr. Jakub Sawicki, Dr. Stephen McKenzie and Dr. Lorne Segall were trusted colleagues who were committed to caring for their patients and community.”
The three physicians reportedly worked at Trillium’s Mississauga hospital.
Trillium added, “The rumour circulating on social media” that these deaths could be linked to the COVID-19 shots “is simply not true.”
While the hospital network noted that Dr. Lorne Segall’s death on July 17th was linked to a “year-long battle with advanced lung cancer”, it did not offer any cause of death for Dr. Stephen McKenzie’s death the next day or Dr. Jakub Sawicki, in his early thirties, who died on July 21st.
North York General Hospital also contacted the Toronto Sun to assure the public that the sudden death this month of Emergency Department Director Dr. Paul Hannam, an Olympic athlete who suffered a sudden cardiac arrest during a jog on July 17th, was not linked to the COVID-19 shots.
