Media report sexual allegations against Elon Musk day after party change

On Wednesday, May 18th, Elon Musk announced that he had become a Republican.

“In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party,” he tweeted. “But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican.”

He added a prediction:

“Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold …,” and added a popcorn emoji.

Within 24 hours, the mainstream media trotted out their first sexual misconduct accusation against Musk.

As breathlessly reported by Business Insider, the richest man in the world settled a sexual misconduct claim in 2018 for $250,000 following allegations brought forward by a female flight attendant. According to the flight attendant’s friend, the flight attendant accused Musk of exposing himself, touching her and offering to buy her a horse in exchange for an erotic massage.

Musk responded to the reports by flatly denying the accusations and issued a challenge to his accuser.

“For the record, those wild accusations are utterly untrue,” Musk said on Twitter. “But I have a challenge to this liar who claims their friend saw me ‘exposed’ – describe just one thing, anything at all (scars, tattoos, …) that isn’t known by the public. She won’t be able to do so, because it never happened.”

Musk also slammed the flight attendant’s “friend” as being “a far left activist/actress in LA with a major political axe to grind.”

“That amount of money for a settlement of this sort is absolutely de minimis, and everyone who understands corporate law knows this,” said political commentator Ben Shapiro. “In other words, when you sue one of the most valuable people on earth and get a settlement of $250,000, that’s nearly always just the guy getting rid of something he considers a nuisance, not an admission of guilt.”

Elon Musk noted the timing of the report.

“[The left] began brewing attacks of all kinds as soon as the Twitter acquisition was announced,” he tweeted. “In my 30 year career, including the entire MeToo era, there’s nothing to report, but, as soon as I say I intend to restore free speech to Twitter & vote Republican, suddenly there is …”

“The attacks against me should be viewed through a political lens,” Musk said in a separate tweet Friday morning. “This is their standard (despicable) playbook – but nothing will deter me from fighting for a good future and your right to free speech.”
