Father says he lost parental rights for refusing to transgender his son

Texas father Jeff Younger said Tuesday that a California judge has stripped him of access to his sons because he refuses to chemically castrate his child.

For six years, Younger has been battling his ex-wife, Dr. Anne Georgulas, for custody of his now-12-year-old son James. When James was six, Georgulas insisted he had gender dysphoria and began turning him into a girl. She demanded everyone call him “Luna” and dressed him in girls’ clothes. Younger said the boy continued to exhibit masculine behavior, at least when with his father.

In 2018, Georgulas filed a restraining order prohibiting Younger from entering his son’s school and from referring to him as a male. She also signaled that she intended to subject the boy to “gender-affirming” medical procedures such as puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones. Some doctors refer to these procedures as “medical mutilation” because of the permanent damage they cause, such as sterilization and castration.

In 2020, Texas Judge Mary Brown awarded Georgulas full custody of James with the proviso that any “gender-affirming care” requires Younger’s approval.

Abusive in Texas, sacred in California

In February 2022, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton issued an opinion that “gender-affirming care” could constitute child abuse. By contrast, that September California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a law declaring the Golden State a “sanctuary city” for child medical mutilation. Georgulas moved to California a month later, describing Texas as having a “dangerous political climate.”

Earlier this year, Georgulas petitioned a Los Angeles court to allow her to subject James to medical mutilation procedures without Younger’s approval. According to Younger, the courts engaged in corrupt practices designed to swing the case for Georgulas, such as denying him access to case records, sending court orders to the wrong address, and giving him no time to schedule James for independent medical exams.

‘Goodbye, boys’

On Tuesday, Younger said he lost the battle. Not only will Georgulas be able to medically mutilate James, but Judge Mark Juhas has ruled that Younger may only see James and his brother via supervised visits.

“I lost all parental rights to my sons,” he wrote on X. “Goodbye, boys. Perhaps, we will meet when you are adults. California Judge Juhas gave my ex-wife authority to castrate my son, James. All contact with my boys must be supervised. I won't do that. I send letters and gifts to my sons. My ex is not required to give them to the boys. I cannot post pictures of my sons. Let my story be a cautionary one for young men. Fathers have no rights to their children. Do not enter the family law system.”

In a post last week, Younger thanked Dr. Miriam Grossman, a renowned child psychiatrist who gave expert testimony in the case. Dr. Grossman is the author of Lost in Trans Nation, a book about the atrocities being committed on children through “gender-affirming care.” She has appeared in America’s Frontline Doctors’ documentary “What Is a Doctor?” and in the Daily Wire’s “What Is a Woman?” advocating for children’s health.

Most Americans oppose gender ideology

A recent survey from Napolitan News Service found that Americans overwhelmingly oppose gender ideology, including medical mutilation procedures for kids, allowing men in women’s spaces, and sexualizing children. Seventy-two percent of Americans — including 86% of Republicans and 58% of Democrats — think it should be illegal to provide medical mutilation procedures to children under 18. The number has jumped 10 points since August.
