Ethics group challenges healthcare professionals on child COVID vaccine

The Ethical Science Group is distributing a letter to healthcare professionals who are recommending the recently FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccine to children ages 5-11. The letter urges healthcare workers to provide informed consent to their patients and poses significant questions about the vaccine.

First, the letter notes that “Efficacy of the 2-dose genetic vaccination in children aged 5-11 could not be determined” in the Pfizer trials, explaining that not one of the participants – including the control group – contracted severe COVID-19, so the vaccine’s efficacy against severe illness could not possibly be measured. The trials also had only 3,100 participants and according to one study, there are still ongoing studies to monitor myocarditis.

The letter also cites data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that children are not at risk of death from COVID-19, with less than 1% of all-cause deaths among children under 18 years related to COVID-19, which places them at higher risk of death by suicide or car crash.

In fact, the vaccine carries with it more risks than the illness, with boys 12-18 “at highest risk of all age groups to develop myocarditis following vaccination. This is only one risk of many,” reads the letter before citing supporting studies. The risk of myocarditis increases with each dose.

Children also develop robust immunity and are not transmitters of the virus, according to scientific data.

The letter then sheds a spotlight on the vaccine in general:

  • “COVID-19 genetic vaccines are very different than traditional vaccines:
    • COVID-19 genetic vaccines distribute widely throughout the body and force expression of the cell-damaging viral spike antigen in many tissues (manufacturer regulatory filings).
    • Adverse events are much more prevalent following COVID-19 genetic vaccines as compared to traditional vaccines.”

The letter then noted that “mRNA vaccines have not undergone the traditional path for safety testing, are still experimental and have NO long-term safety data,” adding that “genetic vaccines are ZERO percent effective against the Omicron variant just 6 months after 2 doses and neutralizing antibodies decline in a matter of weeks.”

According to its mission statement, the Ethical Science Council aims “to foster a return to an open, honest, and free exchange of scientific ideas and information, backed by legitimate scientific data. With a core of credentialed, experienced scientists and medical professionals, we will provide the public and local, state/province, national, and global policy makers with evidence-based paths forward without the polluting influence of political or financial interests.”
