Customers accuse Amazon of sabotaging Trump book with false cover
Amazon customers are accusing the company of sabotaging the release of a book on the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump by swapping its cover.
As of this report, users who search Amazon for Bulletproof: How a Shot Meant for Donald Trump Took Out Joe Biden will find the entry but may not know it. Instead of the book’s original cover, Amazon has uploaded the cover of a lifestyle magazine called Kinfolk which features two black adults in sexually suggestive costumes.
Bulletproof, written by conservative commentators Jack Posobiec and Joshua Lisec, is the first book about Trump’s assassination attempt ever to be published.
Posobiec first alerted his followers on Friday that the book cover is wrong: "ATTN: I do not know what is going on but This is NOT the cover for Bulletproof, @Amazon. They are sabotaging the FIRST book every [sic] written about the Trump assassination,” he posted to X.
The Post Millennial reports it has verified that the publisher opened a ticket with Amazon to correct the error. As of Sunday, however, it has not been rectified.
“Amazon has STILL not fixed this,” Posobiec tweeted Sunday. “I am not writing black sex art books!”
The book has hit the #1 bestseller spot in the Law Enforcement Politics category on Amazon ahead of its October release.
Amazon’s Alexa chooses Harris
The bizarre error came a day after Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-SC) pressed the online retail giant over concerning reports of political bias by Alexa, Amazon’s virtual assistant device.
Videos that went viral on social media last week showed users asking Alex why they should vote for either candidate.
“I cannot promote content that supports a certain political party or a specific politician,” Alexa replied to one woman who asked why she should vote for Donald Trump.
When the user asked why she should vote for Kamala Harris, however, Alexa had an enthusiastic reply: “Although there are many reasons to vote for Kamala Harris, the most significant may be that she is a woman of color who has overcome numerous obstacles to become a leader in her field.”
“Additionally, her experience as a prosecutor and her record of accomplishments in the areas of criminal justice and immigration reform make her a compelling candidate,” the device gushed.
An Amazon spokesman told Fox News that the Alexa “error” has been fixed.
