Colorado city official launches recall effort against Soros-backed DA

Aurora City Councilwoman Danielle Jursinky last week launched a recall effort against Arapahoe County District Attorney Amy Padden, who recently dropped charges against a transgender-identifying sex offender after he tried to abduct a child.

Soloman Galligan, a registered sex offender who identifies as transgender, was arrested in April last year for trying to kidnap an 11-year-old boy from Black Forest Hills Elementary School. Like most transgender-identifying individuals, Galligan suffers from mental illness. Family members have said the 33-year-old suffers from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Typically, individuals with such disorders are still considered mentally competent, which is why an initial review found Galligan fit to stand trial. A second review was then conducted, which found Galligan mentally incompetent, leading Jurinsky to drop all charges. Galligan will be committed to a psychiatric facility instead of facing prison, according to KDVR.

“I don’t know how else to put it but that Amy Padden went shrink shopping to find someone to make sure that they would say that Soloman Galligan was not fit to stand trial,” said Councilwoman Jurinsky.

Padden is one of roughly 75 prosecutors in the United States backed by the radical Left-wing billionaire George Soros. Like her fellow Soros-backed DAs, Padden has a reputation for being extremely soft on crime. In May, she offered a sweetheart deal to an illegal alien who killed a woman in a high-speed crash.

Recall underway

Since Padden only assumed office in January, Jurinsky was forced to wait the mandatory six-month waiting period before filing for a recall. That period ended last week, and Jurinsky has already filed the recall petition with the Secretary of State and had it approved by the county clerk. Now, she needs to collect 75,000 signatures within 60 days.

“I will go door to door, I will do whatever I have to do to ensure that she is recalled,” said Jurinsky, who is planning a press conference to announce the recall.

Padden’s campaign received contributions from the Soros family, in addition to roughly $40,000 from the Working Families Party, a PAC that received $37 million from George Soros’ Open Societies Foundation.
