Canadians aren’t backing down

On Parliament Hill in Ottawa, the epicenter of the trucker convoy that caused the prime minister to flee and later declare a national emergency, was once again the site of Canadians protesting. Fed up with their government’s restrictive policies in the name of fighting COVID, hundreds came to peacefully protest, wave the flag, and make their view known.

Outside the Innes Jail in Ottawa, dozens showed up to express their support for releasing Tamara Lich from jail. Tamara is one of the three main organizers of the trucker convoy and is currently being held by the government without bail on charges related to her involvement in the protest.

More protests against the mandates took place in other cities across Canada including Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver.
