Another medical practice requires extra tests for vaccinated student athletes

Morris Sussex Family Practice now has a new policy for student athletes who have been vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine: they’ll need to undergo extra tests before being cleared for the field.

“Sports physicals are done primarily to make sure you are not at high risk for sudden cardiac death on the playing field,” the policy reads on the Morris Sussex’s website. “COVID vaccinations affect your risk.”

“In response to worldwide experience and vaccine adverse event monitoring, we are adopting a more precautionary sports physical sign off policy.”

“If you have received doses of any Covid vaccine, we will not be able to clear you to compete in sports without performing lab work and possibly an echocardiogram to rule out potential heart damage.”

Morris Sussex, headed by Dr. Anthony Lucatorto and based in Sussex County, New Jersey, notably does not recommend the vaccine in its Coronavirus Information. Instead, the website suggests basic methods to protect against COVID-19, including washing your hands for at least 20 seconds and staying home when sick.

The site also lists a protocol to help ward off the virus.

“A strong immune system may also help mitigate the virus,” the site reads. “A daily does of Vitamin D3, Vitamin C, Zinc and Quercetin helps fortify the immune system. Vitamin D3 Optimal approach to dosing requires testing of 25(OH)D level. For dosing guidance, ask Dr. Lucatorto.”

Morris Sussex Family Practice also posted the policy to the window of its office, which was noticed by journalist Etana Hecht.

“My first reaction was to find out if it was real,” said Hecht, who then called the practice and confirmed that this was, in fact, their policy. “Once confirmed, I was just sad that it's necessary, and somewhat impressed that this medical practice is so publicly willing to admit the risks of covid vaccinations in kids.”

This is not the first time that a family practice has adopted a policy to take extra precautions with vaccinated student athletes.

As Frontline News reported earlier this month, Jackson River Pediatrics in Covington, Virginia had posted this exact policy to their office as well.

Concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine’s effect on athletes stretches back to last year, when Frontline News reported about a 5-fold increase in sudden cardiac and unexplained deaths among FIFA players in 2021.

This is perhaps why a famous football team in Romania has banned all COVID-19-vaccinated players from being on the team.
